Because Luxottica Group covers nearly all program overhead, 93% of all donations directly fund Gift of Sight programs. Donations in memory of or in honor of a loved one will be acknowledged promptly to the person of your choice.
While Gift of Sight gladly accepts donations in any amount, here are some of the tangible ways your donation helps:
- $10 hand-delivers glasses for an International mission recipient
- $25 helps recycle 325 pairs of used glasses for International missions
- $50 hand-delivers glasses to four International mission recipients
- $125 provides comprehensive eye exams and new glasses to four children on a North American mission
- $250 funds an entire day of Vision Van services, helping 75 children in underserved communities.
- $500 funds the recycling of 6,500 pairs of glasses that will be hand delivered on our International missions, changing the lives of people around the world
- $1,000 provides clear vision to 30 North American children, giving them the opportunity to see the blackboard, read books and fully engage in the learning process.
- $5,000 underwrites the cost of Vision Van operations for 20 days, helping Gift of Sight reach out to over 1,500 children in underserved communities across North America.
- $12,000 This significant level of support will give the gift of sight to 700 International mission recipients — allowing them to work, learn, attain self-sufficiency and see their families clearly, often for the first time.
