Give the Gift of Sight programs were featured in a three-part series called “Today’s Eye Care” on the #1 rated national morning news show, NBC’s The Today Show. This series provided viewers with an overview of Give the Gift of Sight, discussed the importance of eye health and showcased recipients receiving the gift of clear vision.

The first segment aired Monday, June 9, and featured Chicago-area students receiving eyecare during a Vision Van mission at River Oaks Shopping Center.
The second segment aired Monday, June 16, and featured Victor, a 15-year-old student from Long Island, New York, as he received glasses to help him see and succeed in school.
The final segment aired Monday, June 23, and featured Gift of Sight Executive Director, Greg Hare, who provided details about our family of charitable vision care programs, including our International missions and encouraged viewers to donate their used eyewear at any LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, Sears Optical or Sunglass Hut location.
