Safety Tips: See & Be Seen

Follow these tips for a safe Sight Night:  Trick-or-treat in familiar areas Always ask an adult to go trick-or-treating with you Only visit well-lit residences Wear costumes made of flame-resistant materials Place reflective stickers on dark-colored costumes Never run in your costume -- you may fall and hurt yourself, spill your candy or break all the used eyewear you've collected Look both ways when crossing the street Make sure you can see out of your mask Carry a flashlight with you and check batteries early enough to buy new ones if needed Carry props, such as magic wands and swords made from plastic - not metal or wood Stay on sidewalks and look both ways when crossing the street Always have an adult check your trick-or-treat candy before you eat it
